Gearing Up for Outdoor Cycling

IMG_4460As the weather improves, it’s time to think about cycling outdoors.  Today was Day 1 for me, and it was fabulous even with the wind at my face!  The country roads were quiet this morning so the ride was smooth and easy – no dodging vehicles or stopping for big trucks to rush by.  Listening to my favorite radio station with one earbud made the ride even more enjoyable.

Indoor Spin

If you’re not quite ready to head outdoors or if you want a great workout indoors, try out the following Indoor Trainer Workout by CTXC Videos.  I did this workout last Tuesday at the gym (with my iPad mini propped up in front of the bike) and I was sweat drenched by the end of it.  The video is very well done with motivating music and on-screen guidance throughout the entire workout.  This workout is 45 minutes long; however, they have shorter and longer ones that will suit your various needs.  Check them out.
