This dish can be very versatile. Serve over rice and grilled vegetables, on a meal size salad, or in wraps. Prepare and let it cook while you’re out. Dinner easy tonight!
Slow Cooker Turkey

Slow Cooker BBQ Turkey
Ingredients:
- 3 turkey thighs
- 3 turkey drumsticks
- Parchment paper
BBQ Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 can, 5.5 fl oz tomato paste
- 156 ml water (2/3 cup)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh basil
- 1 green onion
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp sea salt
Directions:
- For BBQ sauce, add all ingredients into a 4 cup mason jar. Blend until smooth using an immersion blender. Alternatively, use a food processor.
- Line a slow cooker with parchment paper (makes for easier clean up).
- Add BBQ sauce to slow cooker. Place turkey pieces into slow cooker and make sure they are covered with the sauce.
- Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
